(From a clinical perspective, this service is being supported by Catherine Hutchins of The Therapy Collective.)

.

Why is this service needed?

We currently provide a counselling service for our guests who stay with us to help them process and cope with their developing situation. This service is also intended to extend to any relative/person who is an in-patient in the hospital if appropriate/required. The service is run weekday evening from 5:30pm - 8:30pm.

This service aims to provide a safe space for guests and their relatives in local healthcare facilities to discuss their feelings, thoughts, and concerns and to ‘hold’ people in their time of need. This service is so important in enabling us to provide much-needed support to those who are often preoccupied with supporting others, or who are dealing with complex or life-changing issues themselves.
