Our Impact

			2,898	Patients, relatives & carers were supported during 2023, when they or a loved one were undergoing treatment or receiving medical care at one of our local healthcare centres. That's over 8000 nights of accommodation!
			£292,392	Is the total amount saved by guests during 2023 by staying at our Hearts Together Hospital Hotel in comparison to if they had stayed at a leading budget hotel. We also provided an additional £19,802 in financial help and subsidies.
			513	Guests were supported at our Hearts Together Hospital and remotely by our 'Supporting You' counselling program during 2023. Our team provided 98hrs of formal counselling, 111 welfare calls and 289 informal support conversations.

Volunteer with us

Every small thing you do to help, makes a bigger difference than you think. What could you do to help? Some gardening perhaps? Some DIY? Could you be a peer supporter? Are you social media savvy? Will make a difference for someone when they need it most

Will provide two frozen meals for a guest. With many guests coming to us at short notice often without time to prepare for their stay.

Will help to fund the upkeep, maintenance, and charging costs for our shuttle vehicle so that we can continue to transport guests during their stay, saving them stress and money - with taxi costs to the hospital averaging around £5 one way!

Will go towards helping us develop our 'Welcome home packs', this is something we are currently developing. Our aim is to help our guests with the transition when they leave us, with many guests staying at our Hospital Hotel for extended periods of time.

Will provide a contribution towards the on-site and remote counselling support service we offer at our Hospital Hotel for our guests, many of whom are going through some of the most difficult times of their lives.

Will help to fund a room for the night for someone who would otherwise be unable to stay

Every year, Hearts Together supports over 8,000 families navigating some of the most difficult periods of their lives. Our guests tell us in thank-you notes, in conversations over breakfast, in messages years later, about the difference we make. 25 Years of Hearts Together!

We celebrated Hearts Together’s 25th anniversary this month with a party at our Hospital Hotel, highlighted by fundraiser Ricky Callow completing a 37-mile challenge. The day honoured our founder, Monica Pearce, celebrated the support we provide to families facing medical treatment, and marked the launch of our new Sponsor a Counsellor campaign to expand emotional support services for guests.
