Thanks to the collaborative efforts between Hearts Together and We Are Ease, the Big Build project is a huge step closer to becoming a reality.

Ease was approached by the Hearts Together team in July 2022 to assist with feasibility studies and planning for the Big Build Project. This involved reviewing the existing costing information and providing programming advice along with a risk register for the project to assist with risk mitigation and management.

Following this process, Ease has continued to provide cost, design, and buildability advice for the project to assist with the developing design and reviewing options for getting the scheme to a start on site, which is sensitive and considerate towards the charity's funding timeline and overall aspirations of the project.

At this stage, Ease is appointed to provide design assistance and buildability/cost advice during the detailed engineering design phase of the project along with assisting and providing information that has now enabled the successful discharge of planning conditions, allowing the scheme to fully commence on-site, a process which will allow Phase One to be delivered utilising the Construction Management procurement route.

Ease has a fantastic history of helping and providing services to charities on construction projects which include most recently a fundraising effort by the Ease team taking on a mammoth coast-to-coast run/swim/cycle in March 2023 in aid of another local charity. The collaboration between local charities such as Hearts Together and We Are Ease exemplifies the power of community spirit and the positive change that can be achieved when organisations come together for a common cause.
