A huge thank you to all at Chacewater Bowling Club in Cornwall who have raised an incredible £1,500 for Hearts Together this season!

We were thrilled to meet some of the club members at our Hearts Together Hospital Hotel and to be able to show them all where their donations make the most difference.

A special thank you to Colin (pictured), club captain for this season, for nominating us as charity of the year for the club. In 2005, Colin underwent major surgery at Derriford Hospital, Hearts Together Hospital Hotel supported and accommodate his wife during this difficult time, saving what would have likely been a regular and stressful commute back and forth from Cornwall. We are so pleased that we were able to support and help Colin and his family during this challenging period in their lives and it is lovely that after all this time Hearts Together remains in their thoughts.

he thought of creating a Hospital Hotel which would support patients receiving treatment at Derriford was the dream Monica Pearce first suggested back in 1993, following her successful campaign for the Cardiac unit to be brought to Derriford in 1994.
Student Volunteer Counsellors

We are looking for student counsellors to join our team alongside our qualified counsellors to help us to provide an informal counselling support service for our guests staying at Hearts Together Hospital Hotel. This service is so important in enabling us to provide much-needed support to those who are often preoccupied with supporting others, or who are dealing with complex or life-changing issues themselves.
