Vital Funding Boost

A HUGE thank you to all the neighbours that signed up for People's Postcode Lottery because they wanted to help local, national and international charities. Their commitment makes amazing things happen and we are so grateful for their support.

Among several Peoples Post Code Lottery winners in Woolwell, Hearts Together was chosen as the local charity to be awarded £70,000 by Postcode Community Trust.

"Demand for our services is continuing to grow year on year. In 2023 alone we had over 4,000 requests for overnight stays that we were unable to accommodate. Due to the continued high demand, we have ambitious expansion plans, and we need everyone's support to make these plans a reality. Thanks to vital funds raised by players of People's Postcode Lottery we've been able to take a huge step towards our ambitious expansion plans named The Big Build, which will meet increasing demand head-on. We're aiming to expand our services across the board, from offering bespoke apartments for extended stays and implementing more wellbeing community support programmes for those dealing with complex health challenges. Deserving Projects

This prize is part of a draw promoted on behalf of Postcode Community Trust (opens in a new tab). Supported by our players, this trust supports smaller charities and good causes to make a difference to their community for the benefit of people and planet.

The players are raising funds for charities and good causes across Britain and around the world. To date, People's Postcode Lottery players have raised more than £1.2 Billion for thousands of deserving projects and organisations.

he thought of creating a Hospital Hotel which would support patients receiving treatment at Derriford was the dream Monica Pearce first suggested back in 1993, following her successful campaign for the Cardiac unit to be brought to Derriford in 1994.
Student Volunteer Counsellors

We are looking for student counsellors to join our team alongside our qualified counsellors to help us to provide an informal counselling support service for our guests staying at Hearts Together Hospital Hotel. This service is so important in enabling us to provide much-needed support to those who are often preoccupied with supporting others, or who are dealing with complex or life-changing issues themselves.
