We are delighted that Dartmouth Ladies Captain for 2019, Christine Mayer, kindly nominated Hearts Together (formerly HeartSWell South West) as her chosen charity for 2019.
On New Year’s Day a cheque for a staggering £2,650 was presented to Hearts Together’s Trustee, Rob Harder to help support our work in 2020.
We are incredibly grateful to Christine and all the Dartmouth Golf Club members who have so generously supported us throughout the year.

Bro John Francis Scooter Challenge

John will be riding his scooter around the perimeter of Plymouth Hoe, for as many laps as he feels able or when the battery is depleted. The Scooter has a range of 10 miles (16km), each lap of Plymouth Hoe is approx. 2/3 of a mile (1km). All monies received will be put towards this year’s Lodge Charity Appeal The Hearts Together Hospital Hotel at Derriford.
Mike & Jude's Story

You have no idea what staying at Hearts Together meant for us as we live in the far west of Cornwall. I cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful charity. The prospect of driving backwards and forwards from Helston to Derriford was horrendous, and I can't imagine the cost of standard hotel accommodation, It made a very difficult time a bearable one. I just wish every major hospital had such a facility.

he thought of creating a Hospital Hotel which would support patients receiving treatment at Derriford was the dream Monica Pearce first suggested back in 1993, following her successful campaign for the Cardiac unit to be brought to Derriford in 1994.
Student Volunteer Counsellors

We are looking for student counsellors to join our team alongside our qualified counsellors to help us to provide an informal counselling support service for our guests staying at Hearts Together Hospital Hotel. This service is so important in enabling us to provide much-needed support to those who are often preoccupied with supporting others, or who are dealing with complex or life-changing issues themselves.
