The Clem Spencer Trophy on Cardiology Day was held at the Elfordleigh on Saturday 8th October in aid of Hearts Together. The 28th anniversary of this event was held in spectacular weather conditions for the time of year, with the golf course in fantastic condition, only a few weeks after its autumn course maintenance, our gratitude goes to the green-keeping staff for their hard work in preparing the course for the day. A huge thank you, as always, to the owners and staff at the Elfordleigh for allowing us to hold this annual event again this year, their ongoing and long-term support of the charity is greatly appreciated.

Very many thanks to all the golf members and guests that played on the day and supported this fundraiser event. The event was a huge success with over 60 members and 16 guests joining in. It was a great social day with good food, drink, great weather, and good conditions for scoring well.

In total, across all hole sponsors, raffles, and donations the event raised £2,496.51! A big thank you to everyone that contributed and helped, with special mention and thanks to Nigel Roy and Rob Harder, two of our Hearts Together Trustees, for organising the day.

Nigel Roy, Elfordleigh Golf Captain and Hearts Together Trustee presented the Clem Spencer trophy and the coveted Red Jacket to the overall winner Ian Jolliffe (pictured right) the Elfordleigh golf club captain for 2022, who recorded a great score of 42 points, shooting a gross 71 score - congratulations Ian!

The second prize went to Mark Davis with 41 points and there were two scores of 39 points by Pete Pascoe and Shaun Johnson. The best guest went to Mark Lenthall with 38 points. There were also 6 'nearest the pin' prizes won by members, all of which were close and clearly the result of very good golf shots. All winners received Amazon vouchers, very kindly donated by Cristie Data. Congratulations to all the prize winners and raffle prize winners on the day.

Special thanks to all the event sponsors for the day who included:
