Mike & Jude's Story

You have no idea what staying at Hearts Together meant for us as we live in the far west of Cornwall. I cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful charity. The prospect of driving backwards and forwards from Helston to Derriford was horrendous, and I can't imagine the cost of standard hotel accommodation, It made a very difficult time a bearable one. I just wish every major hospital had such a facility.

Nick Lewis - Supathon/ 12 hr Paddle Boarding, to support Hearts Together

Having stayed at Hearts Together, it is a very quiet and calm, Charity based Hospital Hotel, with supportive and friendly staff providing support while your recuperating. It is available for all walks of life, supportive of the LGBTQ + community, has great access and facilities for people with disabilities, and children. It gives loved ones the opportunity to stay within an 5- 8 minute walk to two local hospitals in the area, so if loved ones are having treatment, family can stay close by.
Three Peaks Fundraiser

Last year we lost our loving and dear friend Oliver suddenly. In his name we are trying to raise some money to support a charity that, when it was needed the most, were there for his family. With Oli's love of the outdoors, this June we are going to tackle the highest peaks from Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours for the Hearts Together charity.

Our plans to expand

Our big build project sees Hearts Together set to expand from 26 bedrooms to 73 over two build phases, an ambitious but very necessary challenge that we intend to meet head on, as we look to accommodate the ever-growing needs of patients, carers, relatives, our local community, healthcare professionals and trainees.

he thought of creating a Hospital Hotel which would support patients receiving treatment at Derriford was the dream Monica Pearce first suggested back in 1993, following her successful campaign for the Cardiac unit to be brought to Derriford in 1994.
Student Volunteer Counsellors

We are looking for student counsellors to join our team alongside our qualified counsellors to help us to provide an informal counselling support service for our guests staying at Hearts Together Hospital Hotel. This service is so important in enabling us to provide much-needed support to those who are often preoccupied with supporting others, or who are dealing with complex or life-changing issues themselves.
