How does Co-op Local Causes work?

• The Co-operative Group is owned by their members and other Co-ops, not big investors.
• When you become a Co-op Member, you can choose a local cause to support through your membership. This might be a park, community space or a local charity. As you spend on Co-op products and services, you'll also be contributing to your chosen local cause.
• For every £1 you spend on selected Co-op products and services, 2p goes into your membership account and Co-op give the same amount to support community organisations and local causes.

How this cause is helping us to support the community

At Hearts Together we would like your help to raise money to provide a free healthy lunch for our guests each day. When a loved one becomes unwell or seriously ill it can place a significant financial burden on families and it is our aim to alleviate as much stress and anxiety for the individuals and families who stay here with us at Hearts Together.

We would also like to recruit more volunteers to help to deliver our free lunch service for patients, helping to prepare meals and to sit and talk with guests who may be staying alone.

2. Once on your dashboard, you need to select 'Choose a local cause' on the right-hand side of the menu.

3. Scroll down to view causes local to your area.

4. To confirm your selection, select 'Start supporting this cause'.
