Why volunteer

There is only so much our small team are able to achieve on our own but with the help of volunteers we can do so much more.

Often when people think about volunteering they think that they need to give up large amounts of time and devote themselves selflessly to a cause. We know that in the busy world in which we live, this just isn't possible for most people, great if you can but we totally understand if you can't.

What we would like to ask is if you could give a little of your time, whenever possible to help us. This does not have to be a regular commitment, simply do what you can when you can.

There is so much that you could do to help including:

  • Helping at our Hospital Hotel - spending time with guests, helping with some gardening or DIY or even just making a bed or two
  • Volunteer driving - taking guests to and from the hospital or even to or from home, popping to the shops and picking people up from the station
  • Sharing our social media posts - enabling us to reach more people who may need our support
  • Becoming a peer supporter - meeting or speaking with other people and sharing experiences
  • Getting involved with our events - from organising and promoting to taking part, there is a role for everyone
  • Using your specialist skills - are you a technical whizz? a digital guru? an artist? Your skills could help us

To find our more check out our volunteering roles or contact us to let us know how you could help us to make a difference.
