The Clem Spencer Trophy on Cardiology Day, was held at the Elfordleigh on Saturday 12th September in aid of Hearts Together (formerly Heartswell), our local Heart charity.

It was the 26th anniversary of this event and we are thankful to the owners and staff at the Elfordleigh for allowing us to hold the event in this weirdest of years. The golf course was in fantastic condition and our gratitude goes to the green keeping staff for their hard work in preparing the course for the day.

Very many thanks to all the golf members and guests that played on the day to support the charity. 89 members and 6 guests played in very good weather, perfect conditions for a good score and there were many of them.  In total £1,500 was raised for Hearts Together. A big thank you to everyone that contributed to the event.

Due to COVID19 we were unable to hold a formal presentation, however Rob Harder, Hearts Together supporter presented the Clem Spencer trophy and the coveted Red Jacket to the overall winner Roger Cox, who recorded an excellent score of 44 points.

Second prize went to Lee Jones for the second year running with 43 points. Third was Rob Tunley with 42 points and forth Jack Collier with the same score. All winning Amazon vouchers, which were very kindly donated by Cristie Data. The best guest was Antony Hoggarth with 38 points, the front 9 was won by Rob Harder with 24 points and best back 9 was Craig Ford with 22 points, all winning golf shop vouchers donated by golf club members.
