Join us, James and Daniel, as we take on an exhilarating three-day bike ride to raise funds for Hearts Together and their Big Build Project appeal! Hearts Together provides accommodation and wrap-around support services for patients, carers and relatives when they or a loved one are receiving treatment in Hospital. 

We are taking on the challenging and historic Cycling UK King Alfred's Way cycle trail, this epic off-road route spans 350km over the heartlands of historic Wessex. Named after the legendary King Alfred the Great, this trail presents a formidable test of endurance, as it traverses a variety of terrains, including steep hills, muddy tracks, and rugged countryside. The route starts and ends in Winchester where King Alfred is buried, and connects iconic monuments including Stonehenge, Avebury stone circle, Iron Age hill forts, Farnham Castle, and Winchester and Salisbury Cathedrals. This ride will see us face the elements head-on, battling fatigue and the unpredictability of British weather, while navigating through picturesque villages and ancient sites. This ride is not only a physical challenge but also a mental one, requiring determination and resilience as we strive to conquer the undulating paths that echo centuries of history.

As we pedal through breath taking landscapes, we’re not just riding for ourselves, but for every patient, every carer, and every family member staying at Hearts Together Hospital Hotel, where they find comfort while supporting a loved one or undergoing treatment themselves. This journey is for them. Together, we can make a real difference.

We are specifically raising funds for Hearts Together's Big Build Project, which aims to raise £6,000,000 to complete the first phase of their much-needed expansion. The current Hearts Together Hospital Hotel is simply too small to help everyone who needs them. In 2023 alone, they had to turn away over 4,000 nights of guest stays due to a lack of space.

This new build project is crucial—it will triple their capacity, allowing them to provide more services and community spaces for both guests and the local community. With your help, we can make sure no one is left without the care and support they need.
