The 27th annual Clem Spencer Trophy on Cardiology Day, was held at the Elfordleigh on Saturday 9th October in aid of Hearts Together, our local Heart charity.

We thank the owners and staff at the Elfordleigh for allowing us to hold the event again this year, their ongoing support is greatly appreciated, they have been a long term supporter of the charity. The golf course was in fantastic condition, only 10 days after its autumn course maintenance and our gratitude goes to the green keeping staff for their hard work in preparing the course for the day.

Very many thanks to all the golf members and guests that played on the day to support the charity. 80 members and 3 guests played in good weather and good conditions for scoring well, the winner in particular had a very good round and we had a hole in one. In total almost £2,000 was raised for Hearts Together. A big thank you to everyone that contributed to the event.

Nigel Roy, Elfordleigh Golf Captain and Hearts Together Trustee presented the Clem Spencer trophy and the coveted Red Jacket to the overall winner Neil Wharton who recorded an astonishing score of 47 points.

Second prize went to Ben Roberts with 41 points and third was Mike Roberts with 39 points. All winning Amazon vouchers, which were very kindly donated by Cristie Data. Congratulations to Lee Jones for his hole in one on the 15th.
